Troy Gillenwater claims East Asia Super League Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Troy Gillenwater (205-F-1988) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Taipei Fubon Braves and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 37-year old forward had the game-high 26 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Fubon Braves in his team's victory, helping them to beat HK Eastern (#4, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 95-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Fubon Braves to consolidate first place in the East Asia Super League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Fubon Braves won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Gillenwater had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Fubon Braves' top player in his first season with the team.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Alec Brown (216-C-1992) of league's best team Taoyuan Pilots. Brown impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Pilots to another comfortable win 104-86 over Macau BB (#4, 0-3) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Pilots consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 3-1 record. Brown is one of the most experienced players at Pilots and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Fubon Braves' star - American Archie Goodwin (196-G-1994). Goodwin scored 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was another key player of Taipei Fubon Braves, helping his team with a 95-81 easy win against #4 ranked HK Eastern. Fubon Braves has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Goodwin also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Goodwin has a great season in East Asia Super League. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 34.5ppg (best scorer).
